We work to help the disaster-stricken, homeless, isolated and vulnerable.
United Riders specialises in emergency action following a disaster or natural catastrophe. The NGO works in collaboration with United Nations organisations, the main humanitarian organisations and national governments.
The drive, reactivity, speed of intervention and diverse skill set of our teams make them strong, complementary partners for government authorities.
In the night of 2 to 3 October 2020, Storm Alex hit the Vésubie, Roya and Tinée valleys in the Alpes-Maritimes region. A number of villages were devastated by flooding and cut off from the world, with no electricity, water or telephone service. United Riders responded by providing emergency logistical aid in collaboration with the French civil defence agency. Our Members provided help on all fronts: restoring water supply to the villages, clearing roads and homes, delivering supplies and essential items.
Our work in the field is carried out by our members with support from a sizeable network of Reservists and volunteers. Some people in situations of social exclusion don’t ask for help and don’t turn to welfare services or emergency shelters, which makes it necessary to go to them to give them what they need.
With this in mind, United Riders sends street teams out every day in large French cities to distribute clothes, bedding and personal hygiene products to those most in need, sleeping rough in metro stations, woods or public spaces.
Across France, our organisation collects furniture, electrical appliances and essential items in order to redistribute them to those who have finally found housing after having lost everything due to a separation, a disaster or financial problems.
Children are the world’s present and its future. United Riders organises many initiatives to help children who are disabled, seriously ill, orphaned or at risk.
Drive, discipline, skill and organisation… Our members employ their diligence and know-how to provide security, on request, for all types of premises in the fields of humanitarian aid and events.
